2023 Communities Summary

Vida Nativa project has an area of influence of more than 1,500 people. Through Free, Prior and Informed Consultation (FPIC) processes with local communities and informative meetings, we have begun to contribute to sustainable and inclusive local projects, attentive to intercultural dialogue with indigenous peoples, effective compliance with gender safeguards and the development of employment and training opportunities.

From Nideport's community relations area, we have achieved significant progress in the programs, projects and actions carried out during the 2023 period, according to standardized metrics of community benefits.

Participative Carbon Program (PCP)

A pilot experience was carried out for this program, which seeks to build community participation for the equal and equitable distribution of carbon benefits. The theme chosen for this year was education.

Analytics

Six of the seven educational establishments in the project's area of influence participated (86.7%).
Number of project beneficiaries: 395 children and adolescents (4 to 18 years old); 201 boys and 194 girls.
Degree of satisfaction of the participants with the process and results of the PCP: VERY SATISFACTORY.

Milestones

August 2023 - It was agreed with the Council of Authorities of Tekoa Alecrín to carry out the PCP.

August 2023 - Educational institutions were invited to participate in the PCP.

August 24, 2023 - The first PCP Forum was held, including the presentation of the program, identification of needs and their weighting in EIB-FJC N°938 of Tekoa Alecrín.

August 25, 2023 - The first forum of presentation of the program, identification of needs and weighting of the same is carried out in educational institutions of Cruce Caballero and Piñalito: Escuela Primaria Común 482 Miguel de Azcuénaga, Aula satélite Nº1 La Semillera. Dependent of 482, EPJAI (School for Itinerant Youth and Adults) CP19, EPET Nº31, N.E.N.I 2100, EXT. 482 CRUCE CABALLERO NÚCLEO DE ENSEÑANZA DE NIVEL INICIAL.

August 31, 2023- Delivery of tools for the laboratory EPET N°31 and unlocking of 21 Netbooks to "Martín Miguel de Güemes" Primary School.

October 31, 2023 - Delivery of audiovisual equipment, loudspeaker, microphone and board to Elementary School 482. Delivery of didactic material, loudspeaker, microphone and console to NANI 2100. Delivery of console, cable and speaker to Aula Satélite N1 (Semillera).

November 2, 2023 - Didactic material is delivered to EIB-FJC N° 938 of Tekoa Alecrín. Signature of receipt form and satisfaction form.

December 5, 2023 - Netbook is delivered to the Itinerant School for Youth and Adults of Cruce Caballero. Satisfaction surveys were conducted with the directors and teachers of the educational establishments, with a result of VERY SATISFACTORY.

Óga Project

Collaborative housing construction project for the improvement of the indigenous habitat in the Mbya Guaraní Tekoa Alecrín community.

To date, 6 housing modules have been built, benefiting 35 people, which represents 15% of the community.

Degree of user satisfaction with the process and products: VERY SATISFACTORY.

2023 Milestones 

Between February 14, 2023 and March 7, 2023 - construction of the first housing module.

April 11, 2023 - the first management evaluation of the project was positive.

Between April 17, 2023 and May 12, 2023 - construction of the second housing module.

May 18, 2023 - the second management evaluation of the project is carried out, and it is positive.

Alba and Rosalino, second beneficiaries of the housing modules, sign the act of conformity of delivery and reception of the housing module, being very satisfied with it.
The council of authorities confirms that the community is satisfied with the construction of the first 2 houses.

Between October 23,2023 and November 7, 2023 - construction of the third housing module.

November 30, 2023 - the 3 housing modules planned for construction in 2023 are projected to be completed in December.

December 26, 2023 - Phase 1 with 6 housing units completed.

The management evaluation is positive in relation to the goals pursued by the project.

Mujeres Cultivadoras Project: Nueva Esperanza Cooperative

"Mujeres Cultivadoras" is a project to strengthen the agricultural women's cooperative "Nueva Esperanza", where production support and gender safeguards are articulated. The team of women cultivators is made up of 10 women, benefiting more than 40 people.

Milestones 2023

May 17, 2023 - Nideport's Gender Safeguards team trained the team of women cultivators in the Prevention of Gender Violence in native forest management contexts.

July 19, 2023 - Nideport’s team delivered production machinery to the Cooperative (freezer, printer and multiprocessor).

August 31, 2023 - The impact of the implementation of the Institutional Strengthening Program on production was measured:

The number of hours worked by the team of women growers tripled compared to the time measured in the baseline.
The number of liters of vinegar produced doubled.
Between 2022 and 2023, markets increased by 100% and sales tripled. New markets increased from 9 to 18 and total bottles sold increased from 1,080 to 3,670.

September 15, 2023 - An impact measurement was made on the development of soft skills of the Cooperative's work team from the implementation of the Institutional Strengthening Program.

November 1, 2023 - The production process was documented in an integral way and testimonies of the workers about their experience during the implementation of the Program were recorded.

November 4, 2023 - A satisfaction evaluation was conducted and was positive.

All projects are created in collaboration with local communities.
