Nideport Joins the Argentine Carbon Market Roundtable to Drive the Development of Argentina’s Carbon Market

The growth of carbon markets requires much more than project development.
It also depends on collaboration among the private sector, institutions, organizations, and technical stakeholders to establish clear rules, strengthen capabilities, and build a high-integrity market.
That is why, several years ago, we co-founded the Argentine Carbon Market Roundtable (Mesa Argentina de Carbono), a platform that brings together companies, institutions, and experts from across the carbon value chain. Its goal is to promote the conditions needed for the development of carbon markets in Argentina and to position the country as a regional and global reference.
A Platform to Build the Future of the Carbon Market
The Argentine Carbon Market Roundtable brings together stakeholders involved in the development, certification, commercialization, and financing of carbon projects.
Its mission is to foster a strong, transparent, and competitive market, while promoting dialogue between the private sector and public institutions.
Its main areas of work include:
- Promoting regulatory frameworks and public policy instruments.
- Strengthening technical capabilities across the sector.
- Supporting certification, monitoring, reporting, and verification (MRV) processes.
- Creating spaces for communication, knowledge-sharing, and greater awareness of carbon markets.
An Opportunity for Argentina
Argentina has a strategic opportunity to position itself as a leading developer of nature-based projects.
Thanks to the richness of its ecosystems and the significant potential for forest restoration and conservation, the country can attract investment that advances climate action, protects biodiversity, and supports the development of regional economies.
Today, members of the Roundtable are involved in conservation, improved forest management, native forest restoration, and afforestation projects, building a strong foundation of knowledge and experience that is essential for the growth of the sector.
Nideport's Contribution
At Nideport, we contribute to this platform by sharing our experience in developing high-integrity forest restoration projects.
Through our Selva Paranaense Vida Nativa project, we work to protect and restore more than 22,850 hectares of native forest in Misiones, integrating environmental monitoring, biodiversity conservation, engagement with local communities, and applied technology to ensure the project's traceability and transparency.
Technology, fieldwork, and knowledge to strengthen the carbon market
We believe that strengthening carbon markets must be built on international standards, scientific evidence, technological innovation, and continuous collaboration among all stakeholders across the ecosystem.
Building a Market with Impact
Our participation in the Argentine Carbon Market Roundtable represents another step in our commitment to advancing climate solutions that generate environmental, social, and economic benefits.
We are convinced that the development of high-integrity carbon markets can help channel investment into ecosystem restoration, strengthen biodiversity conservation, and position Argentina as a relevant player in the transition toward a low-carbon economy.
We will continue working alongside companies, organizations, and institutions to build a transparent, robust, and high-impact market for Argentina and the region.
