The Importance of Verification in Our Projects

Restoration and conservation projects generate measurable environmental impacts, but demonstrating those results requires rigorous validation and verification processes.
In the Selva Paranaense Vida Nativa project, located in Misiones, we have advanced through this process alongside Earthood, one of the globally recognized auditing firms specializing in environmental and carbon standards.
What Does an On-Site Audit Involve?
Audits help verify that reported information accurately reflects what is happening on the ground.
During the site visit, different aspects of the project were assessed, including:
- Forest inventories.
- Biodiversity monitoring.
- Ecological restoration processes.
- Local community engagement.
- Territorial management and project governance.
The objective is to ensure that the data collected meets the standards required for certification and that each result can be supported by technical evidence.
More Than Trees: Restoration with a Holistic Impact
One of the key aspects assessed was the social dimension of the project.
Ecosystem restoration does not happen in isolation. It requires the involvement of local communities, cooperatives, educational institutions, and partner organizations that actively contribute to protecting and restoring the territory.
That is why, during the audit, field visits and meetings were held with local stakeholders involved in the development of the project, providing an opportunity to understand firsthand the actions being carried out on the ground.
Restoration is also built together with local communities
Biodiversity as a Core Pillar of Restoration
The Atlantic Forest, including the Selva Paranaense, is one of the most biodiverse ecosystems in Latin America and also one of the most threatened.
Restoration efforts aim to recover key ecological functions, improve connectivity between forest fragments, and create the conditions for native species to thrive once again.
In this context, continuous monitoring is essential to measure ecosystem progress and document the results achieved.
Building Trust Through Transparency
The involvement of independent auditors strengthens the credibility and transparency of carbon projects.
Each verification process helps demonstrate that the environmental and social impacts generated are real, measurable, and supported by technical evidence.
At Nideport, we believe that large-scale restoration requires not only action on the ground, but also scientific rigor and international standards that support credible, long-term results.
